NORTHSIDE HOSPITAL RACE SERIES

2023 RACE 3
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 7
WEST CONFERENCE

The “Duel” takes place on a trail that twists and winds through Dauset Forest, offering some of the best old-school single track in South Georgia. This course will test our students’ technical skills as they will encounter many rocks and roots.

We encourage families to spend some time visiting The Dauset Trails Nature Center. The Animal Trail winds about 1/3 a mile through the woods featuring mostly native non-releasable mammals and birds of prey. It is easily accessible by foot, strollers, and wheelchairs. These animals are used to teach students of all ages the importance of each species and its role in our ever-changing world.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE

Student-athletes must be registered for Race 3 by 11:59 p.m. on Sunday, October 1

If you have any questions or problems with the registration process, please email support@georgiacycling.org.

Registered riders list

On Wednesday, September 27, Georgia Cycling published a list of student-athletes who have registered to compete in Race 3. This list represents all riders registered as of 11 a.m. on 9/27.

Our aim is to provide families an opportunity - four days in advance of the deadline - to confirm their athlete is registered.

SPECTATOR INFORMATION

We welcome the community to come and watch our events! Our athletes enjoy when there is an enthusiastic crowd cheering them on, but we ask all spectators, follow a few simple instructions. This will ensure everyone has a safe and enjoyable experience.

  • STAY BEHIND THE RED TAPE: Keep your body and your belongings behind any tape with the Specialized Bicycles logo. If you lean over the tape to take a picture, you may inadvertently make contact with a rider.

  • BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS: Mountain bikes will be moving around you at high speeds, so please do not walk around looking at your phone! Stay alert and obey all crossing guard instructions when attempting to cross an active racecourse.

  • NO FLY ZONE FOR DRONES: Nobody may operate a drone at this race.

  • CHEER FOR EVERYONE: If there is a rider going by you, shout out words of encouragement! You don’t have to know the person to support them.

  • LEAVE NO TRACE: We are guests at Dauset Trails, so please clean up after yourself and throw all trash in the proper receptacle. If you are in the woods, carry all trash out with you.
